Clinical Director/Aesthetics Specialist Profile

Our clinical director has researched laser and cosmetic treatments over the past Six years and has attended the Lightsheer Laser course and seminars on non-invasive cosmetic procedures.

Since 2002, she has been employed in the Cosmetic treatment industry in Harley Street London and surrounding area, specialising in Laser Hair Removal together with other medical aesthetic procedures.

Our Clinical Director has been guest Speaker at Seminars for Lumenis Aesthetics UK, specialising in the treatment of Asian and Black skin using Laser.

She has also spent some time training Beauty therapist, Doctors and Nurses in techniques for using Laser and IPL’s for treatment ranging from Tattoo removal to skin rejuvenation.

She gained expert level accreditation in the use of Lumennis Lasers and IPL in the aesthetic treatments for all skin types.

Our Clinical Director works very closely with the transgender and transsexual community, using her personal skills and clinical skills to assist and help them in achieving there transition, the clinical director has exceptional expertise in using laser to remove hair in all the required body area’s which we know is of the utmost importance to these individuals.

Head Practitioner

Calsey Banks - A qualified Skin therapist and Laser practitioner:
Calsey has a vast amount of knowledge within the aesthetics industry, as well as a wealth of experience in performing treatments such as Chemical Peels, Medical Microdermabrasion and Permanent Laser Hair Reduction using the Lumenis one laser system and the Lightsheer diode.

Calsey has been working with Re-nu Body clinic Medical since 2008 and has a specialist interest in the treatment of problematic skin, particularly Acne and acne scarring, she was carefully selected to work with re-nu by our clinical director of whom is one of the country leading laser specialist and a European wide trainer in the use of lasers.

General Nurse Profile

As a registered General Nurse Wendy has a great deal of experience in the aesthetic field. She practices as an Aesthetic Nurse in Harley Street performing Dermal Laser Treatment, Line Smoothing procedures, Dermal Filler treatments including lip enhancement and skin resurfacing.

Wendy provides the following treatments at Re-nu Body Clinic Medical:
Botulinum Toxin A (Botox) This is a treatment for the improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe lines found between the eyebrows on the forehead and around the eyes. There are currently 3 types of Botulinum Toxin A Botox, Dysport and Vistabel. Botulinum Toxin A has been used in the medical field since the 60’s for various procedures i.e. for children with Cerebral Palsy. (involving involuntary muscle spasm). Hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating), and facial tics. During these procedures it was noted that lines and wrinkles were remarkably reduced and became popular for cosmetic reasons. It was first used in America and became approved for aesthetic use in 2002 and is the most popular cosmetic procedure used there. Botulinum is now licensed in over 90 countries. This treatment begins to diminish after approximately 6 months. The fact that 90% of people who try this treatment repeat it is its own recommendation.

Dermal Fillers for fine lines, wrinkles and folds Mouths too can become fuller and lips more clearly defined. Hyaluronic acid is a biodegradable, non-animal clear viscous gel and is one of the very few substances that is identical in all species and tissue types.

A vital component found in the dermis it helps to give the skin its elasticity and tone that reduces with maturity. With Hydra fill - lines and folds are immediately filled and corrected and lips are fuller and more clearly defined giving immediate results. Treatment can last between five to nine months.

Mariella (Maz) Doddato - A qualified Medical Practitioner and Skin Advisor:
Mariella has a wide range of knowledge and experience within the aesthetics industry, particularly in performing treatments such as Permanent Laser Hair Reduction, Medical Microdermabrasion, Aluma Skin Tightening and the Genuine Dermaroller.

Maz has a wealth of Training and has undertaken the LPA core of knowledge course for Laser and IPL. During her time working within the aesthetics industry she has developed a particular interest in treating unwanted hair for all skin types; she has been working with Re-Nu clinic since 2009.
